De moord van de Vlaamse stedenbouw
De moord van de Vlaamse stedenbouw (The Murder of Flemish Urban Planning) is a cartographic study based on an analysis of paved surfaces around the river Scheldt. The map depicts the river in relation to the paved areas of Flanders.
These surfaces are rendered in red against a white background, producing an image that resembles a knife stabbing into the landscape.
It becomes a metaphorical murder, exposing the disaster that Flemish urban planning has inflicted on its territory.
