Noice disturbance
Noise Disturbance is the project in which my fascination with experimenting with sound and CRT screens first began. Developed together with close friend Victor Vantome, this project explores sound not only as something to be heard, but as a spatial and visual experience.
By connecting sound cables to the video input of an old CRT screen, sound waves generate visible disturbances on the display. The incoming audio translates into shifting interferences of light across the screen’s surface. For the installation we constructed a tent from black foil that reflected this light, covering both the interior and exterior in the same material. A subwoofer placed inside the space made the sound physically tangible.
The result was an immersive environment of light, sound and vibration, entirely shaped by the audio signals sent to the CRT screens.
